Subang Jaya to have its own health clinic

RM8mil to be allocated under Ninth Malaysia Plan

A RM8mil government health clinic will soon be built in Subang Jaya under the Ninth Malaysia Plan.

To be located in USJ, the clinic, once completed, will be able to treat between 500 to 800 patients daily, according to Kelana Jaya MP, Loh Seng Kok.

“A day clinic will be built to treat patients. However, no inpatient facilities will be available at this clinic.”

“In the meantime, we will be identifying a suitable site to build a proper government hospital,” he told reporters after giving out schoolbags and other accessories to students at the Educare programme held at the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association last month.

More than 500 students from all races received the aid.
“We have well established hospitals in Subang Jaya but these are all private facilities.”

“What we want is to have a government facility to serve the more than 300,000 residents in this municipality,” he said, adding that the emphasis would be to address the health of the lower income community who would not be able to afford private medical care.
